If I can see it in my head, I can usually figure out how create it.

Design has always been another part of how I create. Sometimes that means starting with a blank screen and building a company logo. Other times it's a book cover, T-shirt, magazine layout, flyer, sign or taking an idea someone has been carrying around in their head and helping them finally see it.

I work primarily with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, and over the years I've designed across a pretty wide range of projects and formats.

I don't believe everything needs to look like everything else.

LOGO + BRAND DESIGN

The way I see it is, your logo should feel like it belongs to you.

I create original logos and visual elements for businesses, artists, entrepreneurs, events and creative projects. Whether you're starting with an idea, have an existing logo that needs new life or have absolutely no idea where to begin, we'll work from there.

The goal isn't to follow whatever happens to be trending. It's to create something recognizable that makes sense for what you're building.

BOOK + EDITORIAL DESIGN

I've designed book covers, magazine layouts and other editorial pieces, working with both the individual elements and the way everything comes together on the finished page.

I enjoy this kind of work because it's not just about making something look good. Type, photography, artwork, color and spacing all have to work together to tell the story.

T-SHIRT + APPAREL DESIGN

Some artwork belongs on a wall. Some belongs on a shirt.

I create original graphics and illustrations for T-shirts and apparel, from statement pieces to artwork created specifically for a brand, event, organization or collection.

PRINT + PROMOTIONAL DESIGN

I've created everything from flyers, posters and invitations to business cards, brochures, signage, promotional pieces and other printed materials.

Some projects need to be clean and straightforward. Others need color, personality and a little attitude. I don't force one style onto every client or every project.

COMMISSIONED ARTWORK

I also create commissioned original art pieces for people who want something made specifically for them.

That may begin with an idea, a person, a photograph, a story, a particular feeling or simply something you've seen in my work that made you think, I want something like that created for me.

Commissioned work gives me the opportunity to create something personal while still bringing my own artistic style and interpretation to the piece. I don't simply reproduce someone else's artwork or style—the finished piece should still feel like UBUCIKO.

Because every commission is different, pricing, size, medium and completion time are determined by the individual project.

CUSTOM DESIGN

And then there are the projects that don't fit neatly into a category.

I've worked on enough different things over the years to know that sometimes a client simply has an idea and needs someone who can figure out how to turn it into something visual.

Those are projects I enjoy too.
